Title: Passports and ID cards – Past, Present, Future

Biography:
Vince joined the Civil Service from University and has worked in the public sector since then. He has a wide ranging operational and head office background gained primarily in the Department for Work and Pensions. He also has a wide experience of leading and managing a number of major IT and Business Change programmes.
He has sat on the Board of a number of Government Agencies including the Identity and Passport Service (IPS), the Criminal Records Bureau, CRB, as chief executive from September 2003 to 2009 and previously the Child Support Agency.
Within IPS, he is responsible for the successful introduction of the initial introduction of the National Identity Service (NIS), as well as having responsibility for all Communication and Marketing.
Away from work, he is a keen traveller, hill walker, mountain biker and a keen follower of most sports but particularly football and rugby league.
