Presentation synopsis
Model-centric planning of ePassport projects: A new approach!
Blue prints for aircrafts or cars are meanwhile created entirely by bespoke IT based planning tools. The common method for the planning of complex eID systems is still writing prose using MS Word. In a latest model-centric approach all information about the new eID system is handled in a model, which is built using a set of tools. The end user can track the implementation of each requirement and relations up to the final test case. This helps both government and industry to create a clear understanding of the project scope as well as the planning and deployment process. HJP Consulting has filed a three years R&D project with s-lab – Software Quality Lab the University of Paderborn for developing model-centric planning methodologies and tools. Markus Hartmann will share his experiences in using this model-centric approach in major e-passport planning projects.
